Great news Everybody.. Spanish Students have been working hard on integrating technology in our class. We have been doing more research and utilizing online web communities to enhance vocabulary learning. Since some of the students have asked to have their work posted I have shared some per grade level. Remember I have six classes with about 25 to 30 students in it . . . +- 180 Students. . .
We started by creating an Interactive notebook, so the kids could have the opportunity to learn and improve typing and tech skills little by little with my help and the collaboration of other very skillful students in class.
Their goal was to create a document, give it a name, save it, insert a picture and share the document with me. It was a two days training. Of course some students knew already what to do, but others didn't. The team worked well on getting the job done. GOOD JOB EVERYBODY !!!!
Then, The kids were asked to do some research on Hispanic Heritage month, (as you have probably seen the link on Hispanic Heritage) So they created a document, took notes, save the document, share it with me and added pictures to it.. They have all received feedback on this one already. Since all classes did the same project I told them grading and giving feedback was going to take longer. All students who shared the document have received feedback and their grade!!! Hooray!!!! I enjoyed reading their papers!
Finally our third attempt to polish the use of Google documents was to connected to each grade lessons, but they all had to create this time a Presentation, and so they did. Now they are presenting it to the class for a grade too. YAY! THEY are doing a GREAT job!
6th grade: las materias y los objetos de la clase,
7th grade: rutinas saludables,
and 8th grade: La ropa y las estaciones.
Here are some examples of what they have been doing with technology. Have Fun! Congratulations my dear kids! YOU ROCK!
